On the asphalt or on the dirt road, the smartwatches of the f serienix 5 Plus series, all equipped with preloaded TopoActive maps, integrate navigation functions that will allow you to orient yourself in a simple and intuitive way even in the most extreme conditions thanks to precise data turning after turn. For runners and cyclists, the device is able to generate Trendline routes based on the popularity of our users. Drawing from the rich database of tracks on Garmin Connect ™ you can run and ride anywhere safely and in areas frequented by other sportsmen.
High-quality components for high-level performance
Designed for exciting adventures and built with the highest quality materials, the fēnix 5 Plus series smartwatches are available in a series with different finishing options, including versions with a PVD-coated stainless steel bezel and DLC titanium. A Garmin Chroma Display ™ in color, bright, high resolution, transflective and with LED backlighting, guarantees readability in all environmental conditions, even in bright light. For greater scratch resistance, a sapphire lens is available on different models of the fēnix 5 Plus series.
Optimized satellite reception
In addition to receiving the GPS and GLONASS signals, fēnix 5 Plus has a Galileo geostationary satellite receiver to make localization even more precise. In support of navigation directions on the map, fēnix 5 Plus also has ABC sensors (altimeter, barometer and compass, compass) which make orientation and knowledge of the surrounding environment even easier. The altimeter generates altitude data to closely monitor the ascent and descent for mountain activities, while the 3-axis electronic compass, with inclination compensation, indicates the direction - whether in motion or stationary.
Performance indicators
All f smartnix 5 Plus series GPS smartwatch multisports are equipped with specific training functions, which allow you to monitor your fitness and performance. Consult the physiological metrics, race dynamics and much more to keep track of training statistics, assess your progress and keep fit. Training Status automatically processes the history of recent exercises and shows the performance indicators, to find out if your training has been effective, maintenance or overworked. The Training Effect anaerobic activity function lets you know with data and graphs, if the training you are performing is actually improving your anaerobic abilities. You can also view your overall Training Load. Implement specific profiles preloaded activities for swimming, running, biking, hiking, skiing, rowing, indoor rowing and many others. To keep motivation high, create a personalized workout or schedule calendar workouts from Garmin Connect.
ClimbPro slope management
This special slope function provides real-time information on the ascent that awaits us during a training session in the mountains. A graph with altimetric profile and specific data, dedicated to the disciplines of trail running, mountain bike activities or road cycling.
Cardio wrist technology
Elevate ™ heart rate measurement technology allows you to monitor your cardiovascular work without using a heart rate monitor. In addition to counting steps and analyzing sleep, the smartwatch uses heart rate to provide information on calories burned and to quantify the intensity of your fitness activities. It also identifies the variability of the heart rate to calculate the stress score: this will allow you to evaluate how intense your body's activity will be able to sustain during daily training.
The soundtrack for your sport
Do you have a favorite track that helps you tackle a race or train? Now with fēnix 5 Plus you can listen to music without a smartphone during the activity, with the ability to load up to 4GB of songs directly on the smartwatch. It's easy to upload music and create a playlist to listen to anywhere, anytime via wirelessly connected comfortable Bluetooth headsets (third-party and sold separately). You can also synchronize your precious playlists from some premium music streaming services5 on the smartwatch for ad-free listening.
